We now only have 3 and a half months left in 2017 and it has been a pretty great year thus far. This is my third year in real estate but my first year as a full time agent. It hasn’t gone exactly how I planned but it’s been one heck of a journey that I wouldn’t trade for anything.
In the course of 2 months this year I had 5 closings fall through, which meant for those 2 months I made $0. I’m not sure if any of my readers have ever experienced making no money but it’s a terrible feeling. I wanted to quit and go back to the comfort and stability of a 9-5 job but I kept going. The very next month after that happened I had my biggest month of the year where I closed 6 deals and got 2 new listings, all in the same month. The rest of this year will make 2017 be my biggest income producing year to date, all because I kept going!
This year has taught me a few things that I’ll carry with me for life. First is to always be grateful for what you have. Second is to never give up, and keep pushing through no matter how things may look. Third is you can always go harder and do more. Whatever it is in life that you want to do, aka the dreams you have, you are good enough to get them but there’s corresponding work that’s involved. Typically the corresponding work required to get your dream is much more than you originally anticipate and it will be hard but I can tell you, it’s so worth it! So go get it, you can do it!
